Return & Refund Policy
Effective Date: 14 July 2026
Welcome to Unilever Reboot, the exclusive employee marketplace for end-of-life corporate laptops from Unilever.
Please read this Return & Refund Policy carefully before completing your purchase. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms below.
1. Nature of the Sale
All laptops offered through Unilever Reboot are pre-owned corporate devices that have reached the end of their operational lifecycle within Unilever.
Although these devices are no longer suitable for continued corporate use, they remain functional for general personal use and are being made available exclusively to Unilever employees.
Each device is sold as-is, with no expectation that it is equivalent to a new or refurbished retail product.
2. Device Condition
Employees acknowledge that:
-
Devices may display cosmetic wear, including scratches, dents, scuffs or marks.
-
Devices may contain minor hardware defects or signs of normal use.
-
Batteries have been used and may no longer perform at original manufacturer specifications.
-
Chargers or accessories may not be included where indicated.
-
Minor imperfections do not constitute faults or grounds for return.
3. Limited Return Eligibility
Returns will only be accepted under one circumstance:
The laptop does not power on at the time of collection or immediately upon delivery.
A device will be considered "Dead on Arrival (DOA)" only if:
-
it cannot be powered on using an appropriate compatible charger;
-
the issue is identified immediately upon receipt of the device; and
-
the employee reports the issue within 24 hours of collection or courier delivery.
If these conditions are met, Unilever Reboot will inspect the device to verify the reported issue.
If the device is confirmed to be DOA, Unilever Reboot may, at its sole discretion:
-
replace the device with another available laptop of similar specification; or
-
provide a full refund (excluding delivery costs where applicable) if no suitable replacement is available.
4. Circumstances That Are Not Eligible for Return
Returns, exchanges or refunds will not be accepted for any of the following:
-
Cosmetic damage
-
Scratches or dents
-
Screen imperfections that were visible or disclosed
-
Keyboard wear or missing keys
-
Battery performance or battery life
-
Performance expectations
-
Compatibility with personal applications or peripherals
-
Buyer's remorse
-
Normal wear associated with a used device
5. Responsibility After Acceptance
Once the employee has accepted the laptop through collection or courier delivery and the device has been confirmed to power on, ownership and responsibility transfer entirely to the employee.
From that point onward, Unilever shall not be responsible for:
-
hardware failures;
-
battery degradation;
-
component failures;
-
accidental damage;
-
theft or loss;
-
repairs or maintenance;
-
replacement parts;
-
technical support; or
-
any costs associated with using the device.
Any repairs, upgrades or maintenance required after acceptance are the sole responsibility of the employee.
6. Inspection at Collection
Employees collecting devices from a Unilever location are encouraged to inspect the laptop before leaving the collection point.
Employees receiving courier deliveries should inspect the device immediately upon delivery.
Failure to report a device that does not power on within the required 24-hour reporting period will constitute acceptance of the device.
7. No Warranty
These laptops are sold without any warranty, including but not limited to:
-
manufacturer warranty;
-
retailer warranty;
-
extended warranty;
-
implied warranty of merchantability; or

implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.
No guarantee is provided regarding the future performance or lifespan of any device.
