Terms and Conditions

  1. Only 1 laptop per person can be bought.
  2. All laptops deemed eligible for sale by Unilever’s GDT team must be out of warranty with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifically Dell and Lenovo and have reached their end-of-life status.
  3. End-of-life refers to devices that, based on age and performance criteria set by Unilever, are no longer suitable for business use.
  4. Ownership of the laptop will transfer to the requestor. Unilever GDT will no longer be responsible for any software, support, or maintenance of the device following the sale.
  5. Unilever GDT team will wipe and remove any reference to Unilever on the laptop. The laptop will not come with any software installed (e.g., Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, or other packages).
  6. The buyer is responsible for acquiring and installing any operating system or software they require. Refer to Reference on options for buyer.
  7. The laptop will not be provided with a power pack (battery) at the time of sale. The employee is expected to use their existing power pack. Unilever will not supply or replace power packs for sold devices.
  8. The condition of the device at the time of sale is “as it stands” (Voetstoots), meaning it is purchased without guarantee or warranty and entirely at the buyer’s risk. Unilever will not be held accountable for any damages or hardware issues that may arise after the sale.
